Day 4 till Day 6 in Hong Kong

Day 4 Sat 22 March
After breakfast, we took the MTR to Causeway Bay for some shopping and had lunch of Ayam Penyet at Warong Malang. Hong Kong has many domestic helpers from Indonesia and being a Saturday today, many of them were seen around MTR station and shopping centres mingling with fellow comrades. After lunch, we were soon back in the street of Kowloon.
In the evening, friends from the Hong Kong Police drop by our hotel to have a chat and to plan for a tomorrow’s lunch.

Day 5 Sun 23 March
Lunch at the Islamic Centre with Ah Sum and Charlie
Wifey followed me to Hong Kong Island to meet my friends from the Hong Kong Police. Both friends of mine Ah Sum and Charlie had since retired from the Police Force. I last met Charlie in 2007 in Hong Kong and Ah Sum in the same year in Yokohama for the World Police Concert. We had a good friendly chat over Dim Sum and lunch at the Islamic Centre.

Later in the day, I was back in Kowloon again, this time for vinyl (LP) hunting. Many of the vinyl shops in Mongkok area were either closed or relocated to other areas. Somehow, I managed to find two shops in the vicinity with some selection of jazz and 70s rock. Bought 2 pcs each of Rose Mary Clooney, Uriah Heep and Rainbow.

Some vinyl to bring back

Day 6 Mon 24 March
Today is our last day in Hong Kong, a slow and relaxing 6 days. Ah Sum was at the lobby at 8.00am, waiting to have breakfast with us before we leave. So we headed for the nearest McCafe for a quick bite. We checked out at 11am and took the public bus to the airport outside the Shamrock Hotel.
The above was posted while waiting for my flight home at the HK International Airport.
