Osaka & Nagoya

Finally, the day I am waiting for is here. Wifey and I left for Osaka last Saturday with everyone in the family sending us at the airport. We had dinner at Swenson before my flight and my sister and her hubby were at the airport too. However Yanti was absent as she was in KL with her friends.

Our flight was pleasant with a transit in KL arriving Osaka Kansai Airport early Sunday morning in a cool weather. Coach transfer to the hotel took us about 45 mins arriving at the door step of New Hankyu. This hotel is right in the city center of Osaka and just a stone throw to Osaka subway station. Across the road is my favourite Yodobashi store, with its huge array of Hifi accessories.

Anyway, we arrived at the hotel a little tad too early. So we left our luggage there and went for sight-seeing to the Osaka Castle. We spent slightly more than two hours there before heading back for the hotel check in and by that time we were dead tired due to the night flight. After a short rest, we were out again in the city and of course to Yodobashi.

We checked out on Monday morning taking the slow train to Nagoya for a two nights stay. The journey took us almost three hours but it’s worth it with beautiful scenery along the way. We arrived in Nagoya around 2.30pm and had our tea break before checking in the Montblanc Hotel which is opposite the Nagoya main station.
